At the Round table talk the film explorers and filmmakers discussed the changing situation in the cinema process. One of the aspects was the lost quality of an actor to reflect the specific individuality of his time. The block begins with Inna Churicova’s interview, in which the main modern problems are expressively announced.

The text by Eisenstein, written as a chapter of «Montage 37» is founded on the comparison of large quotations from Stanislavsky’s book «An actor Prepares» and Saint Ignace.

The publication presents the conversation of Hungarian film explorer Anna Hereb with the actor, during wich Smoktunovsky commented photoes from his archive. Some of the photoes are also published.
